![]() ![]() The reason I put this at age 12+, however, is because I don't completely recommend it for kids. It also shows that people should not be hated or discriminated against for their religion, nationality, or anything of the sort, a lesson a few of the characters have to learn over time. ![]() It shows that the world is not quite so black and white as to have clear, defined categories of good and evil, rather each category is of a subjective concept people who mean well could do bad things, actions have repercussions, and just because you're told something doesn't mean it's a universal truth. It shows that one should question what they've learned rather than obeying it without question. All in all, the characters are a great and unique bunch who develop so well over time.īut there's also plenty of great messages this game teaches. Wakka is somewhat of a racist (I use that term lightly, because he hates the beliefs of a religious group, not the people), but eventually learns to respect other people no matter what and even starts to question his teachings. Yuna starts out rather unconfident and unwilling to ask for help, but eventually learns that she needs to rely on others for help and that sometimes you can't give up even if you seem to have no chance of winning. However, he still cares about other people's well being, even above his own, and consistently seeks to improve himself until he eventually achieves that end. Tidus, the main character, starts out as one of those naive carefree types. I'm not saying they're the best, most relatable characters out there, but they are quite good nonetheless. The characters, like many in the Final Fantasy franchise, are likeable, relatable, and just great characters. Every time I play this game, I just can't help but be immersed in the world, the characters, everything about it, and there are parts in the story that still make my heart throb.īut I'm not here to talk about my personal experience, I'm here to talk about what age group it's good for. ![]()
